On November 4th we’ll be hosting a full day of events focusing on the climate emergency.

A FULL day of activities around climate change at The Whitaker in Rawtenstall will encourage people to take action on Saturday November 4.
The Museum and Art Gallery’s Activity Co-ordinator Gemma Outen said: “We’re really excited to be hosting this day of activities at The Whitaker on such an important topic.
“Come along and be part of our response to the climate crisis, raising awareness of and engaging creatively with some of the most important issues we face in the world today.”
The drop-in event begins at 10am when artist Phil Barton will lead a collaborative art session which continues to 3pm.
At 11am and 1pm museum antics craft sessions will be held and visitors can enjoy vegan canape tasters from noon to 12.30pm.
A climate change film ‘Can I Live?’ will be screened at 1pm and will be followed at by a panel discussion when audience questions will be answered.
The event concludes at 3.30pm with the unveiling of a collaborative art piece, which Phil will be making that day and tree planting ceremony.
Visitors are welcome to drop in to attend any or all of the free activities – no booking required.
