We’re delighted that Noah Rose is working with us throughout October and November on an artist’s residency funded via the Arts Council.

The purpose of the residency is to give Noah an opportunity to spend extended time with the museum collection, researching our fascinating artefacts and developing ideas for new artwork.

He will be working on some stone-carved poems for our new garden area and is also working with artist Lucy Bergman to develop filmed-based and sculptural work for our events space The Old Stables, bringing some of the collection into these spaces in and out side of the museum in creative ways.

Follow Noah on Instagram for updates on the residency.

Noah Rose is an artist based between Ireland, Scotland and England.

He studied at Manchester Metropolitan University and has an international practice making multi-disciplinary work, specialising in site-specific sculpture and installation, mainly for public space.  His work is fundamentally interested in investigating the nature of what defines a place, its specific qualities, within its geographical, cultural and socio-historical context.
