For Families

Learning doesn’t stop at school. Families can join in with creative activities, seasonal events, and drop-in sessions that encourage children and grown-ups to learn alongside one another in playful, memorable ways.

We offer various opportunities for schools and colleges to engage with us. Whether hands-on workshops that bring history, art, nature, and storytelling to life right here at the museum, or digital resources or loan boxes where the stories of the museum can be brought to you! Led by our friendly Education and Learning Team, sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging, encouraging young people to ask questions, make connections, and think creatively. Each workshop is linked to the curriculum and can be tailored to your group’s needs.

Work Experience

Our work experience opportunities are open to secondary school and college students, as well as young people looking to gain skills for further study or employment. We aim to be as inclusive as possible and welcome applications from learners of all backgrounds.
