Explore The Whitaker

Sessions focus on local history, the life of a museum and its collections and how objects can be used to tell stories of past societies , inspire drama, poetry, writing and music. Pupils are given a safe space to explore the past, meet the present and have a voice in creating the future.

You will work with a knowledgeable local tour guide and museum staff on this 2 hour exploration of The Whitaker. Hear true stories about Rossendale and notable people from the past, find out why we have a tiger and a phyton and make your own mini-museum to keep.
