Pioneers of Rossendale – talk and workshop on the early flint industry of the Valley.
Join local expert Stephen Poole as you journey back over 10,000 BC into the history of Rossendale in his fascinating talk about early Mesolithic industries, in particular the Star Carr type. Evidence of this early settlement has been found on Heald Moor between Bacap and Burnley. The Whitaker has a wide collection of flint which will be on display for the talk.- Dates
