Ava, a classroom assistant, and Ali, a landlord and failed DJ, are brought together by a series of chance encounters in their local community in Bradford.
They initially unite over a love of music but soon realise that this is the chance for something more. But will this deep connection be enough to survive the outside forces that seem compelled to keep them apart?
Named as one of film critic Mark Kermode's top films of 2022, Ali and Ava is a beautifully observed romantic drama that fizzes with truth and joy and isn’t afraid of tackling serious issues along the way.
And remember you can make a night of it at The Whitaker and book your table at our Bar & Kitchen before the film.
All our screenings are subtitled in English.
