Films at The Whitaker: Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda

English Subtitles, 101 minutes, 2017.

One of the most important artists of our era, Ryuichi Sakamoto’s career spans from techno-pop stardom (Yellow Magic Orchestra) to Oscar-winning composer (The Revenant, The Last Emperor, Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence) and anti-nuclear activist.

This intimate portrait explores Sakamoto’s return to music following a cancer diagnosis, leading to the creation of a haunting new masterpiece.

Make a night of it and book your table at our Bar and Kitchen before your screening.
