This July as part of the Rossendale Heritage Festival we'll be bringing you another amazing Acoustic Night hosted by the hugely talented Liam Spencer, songwriter & performer with Joan the Wad, along with special guest performance from Sid Calderbank, Chairman of the Lancashire Society, and collector of songs, stories and poems of old Lancashire for over 40 years.
In his performances Sid interprets the songs of old and adapts them for modern day audiences, regularly performing them at folk, arts and literary festivals.
As Sid prepares to host and perform at this years Dialect-i-fest (part of Rawtenstall Annual Fair) starting on Saturday 6th July from 12pm at the Whitaker, our intimate venue becomes a hub for the best acoustic music from in and around the valley alongside modern interpretations of dialect songs. The evening always guarantees quality live music from Liam and all the performers.
As an open-mic night, our Acoustic night celebrates all genres of music from participating artists and musicians. So come along, all players and listeners welcome for what is sure to be a great way to spend your Wednesday evening.
Bar is open from 6pm until late.
