Mindset Matters: GCSE Examination Success

Connect Health and Wellbeing presents a focused but relaxed afternoon session aimed at students aged 14-16 years preparing for GCSEs and other KS4 examinations. You and your child will learn techniques to help understand how the mind controls the body and how to easily integrate positive thinking and growth mindset techniques into examination preparation.

The session is broken down into engaging practical and theoretical activities, with a blended approach to learning in order to meet the needs of all attendees. Students will work with their parent / carer in a non-threatening environment as the course is designed for both to learn together. This will enable you to apply the techniques at home and develop a greater joint understanding of the expectations placed upon KS4 students.

Key Course Elements:

  • Understanding the criteria for GCSE Examinations and future pathways post 16.
  • Understanding your own expectations and those of others, and how to focus on your progress.
  • Practical, simple methods to calm the mind during times of stress or pressure.
  • Analysing your goals and how to design a practical action/revision plan that keeps you on track!
