Our INK 2 exhibition showcases the work of cartoonist Ray Lowry, one of Britain's most famous cartoonist who's work featured in publications such as NME, Punch and the Guardian as well as many more. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of his death the exhibition brings you an incredible selection of his life's work in cartoons.
Ray was a versatile cartoonist with a distinct style finding humour in the most odd places; divorce, offices, history, death, all the while demonstrating an incredible observation of contemporary culture.
In 1998 Ray produced a book INK, randomly selected cartoons were chosen by Ray to give people a varied collection of his work, and in true Ray style, INK 2 exhibition is a further celebration of this work, bringing together a random selection of original cartoons, some published, others rejected (cartoons lost their vogue for a while) but covering a variety of Ray's favourite subject matter.
Please join us for a complimentary glass of wine at the exhibition opening on Saturday 1st September from 2pm. This is a FREE event that does not require booking.
