Mum & Buggy Bootcamp at Whitaker Park

Calling ALL mums… hands up who’s up for a big hit of feel-good endorphins and vitamin D, getting that all-important exercise in the great outdoors? Join the Mum & Buggy Boot camp brigade starting at Whitaker park on Thursday 2 May!

Kindly note this event runs every Thursday 11:45am to 12:45am and is sold in blocks of 4 weeks at a time. Booking details below.

Delivered by Kate Brooks, A local PT and group fitness instructor who specialises in pre and postnatal exercise and has vast experience of training women through pregnancy and beyond. These specialised sessions will incorporate a variety of exercises and formats using bodyweight and portable exercise equipment to strengthen your core and pelvic floor as well as increase stamina in the safest way.

Childcare isn’t an issue as your little ones are more than welcome to join the fitness fun however be sure you prepare for changing weather conditions and bring something to keep them entertained… you will always be surrounded by a warm ,relaxing and easy going atmosphere so if you need to take 5 for a bottle/breastfeed or nappy change don’t worry. Also Kate is good at multitasking too, cuddling crying babies whilst you workout – she will always make sessions work!     


KEY DETAILS :

  • Sessions will begin on Thursday 2nd May 2019 and will be delivered in 4-week blocks which will consist of different exercises and workouts week on week. It will COST £20 for a 4 WEEK BLOCK.

  • Sessions will last 1 hour, which will be dived into a 40 - 45 minutes exercise and then time to cool-down, stretch and talk as a group and with Kate post session (we’ll have a good old natter throughout!).A post workout coffee or lunch is encouraged too, and the facilities at The Whitaker are top notch! These sessions are as much about socialising and forming new friendships as they are exercising. If you’re like Kate, you’ll want to check out the cafe / menu in advance… so here’s a link to have a gander, brunch is served all day… YAY!

  • Ensure you bring an exercise mat or travel picnic blanket as they double up as a great exercise mats and you can pop your little ones on them too!, A water bottle to keep hydrated and a towel to mop your brow because you will be working up a sweat.

This exercise session will be a great way to meet other mums , make new friends and share experiences which can support one another. also it will also give yourself an ENERGY AND CONFIDENCE BOOST by regaining strength in your core strength (particularly in your core and pelvic floor) to improve health, fitness, mental health and well-being. IT GIVES YOU MOTHERS A CHANCE TO GET OUT THE HOUSE AND ENJOY A NICE DAY TOGETHER ALL WHILE IMPROVING FITNESS!
