Due to huge popularity last year and in order to celebrate World Yoga Day & Summer Solstice, local Yogi Briony Aston will be hosting a FREE yoga class in Whitaker Park.
FREE Tickets available to download through Eventbrite.
Meet on the grass in front of the Museum in the park. We are hoping for glorious weather, but don't worry if it rains, the class will be conducted in the main gallery (although indoor spaces will be limited and offered on a first come first served basis).
What to expect
Briony practices a style of Hatha Vinyasa yoga, which in this 1 hour class will involve approx 15 minutes of relaxation and meditation time at the end. this type of yoga teaches physical postures combined with Vinyasa(sequence of poses).
What do I need to bring?
A small number of Mats will be available on a first come first served basis, so if you do have your own please bring it along, or if not please bring a towel to avoid disappointment.
This event is open to all ages and abilities (even kids), you can take the class at your own pace and Briony will always offer options to suit all levels of abilities, just come along, join in and enjoy the sun on your face.
What do I wear?
Briony has 20 Free 'Yoga in the Park' T-Shirts available for the first to arrive. If you attended last years event and you still have the T-Shirt it would be great if you can wear it this year too. Other than that any comfy clothes that you can easily stretch in. You can practice bare foot or with socks on your choice.
Last years event was so popular there was a great energy from all who attended so lets try and make this years event even bigger and better!!
There is plenty on site parking you can access from the Main entrance from Haslingden Road or at the top of the park from Haslingden Old Road. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you may have or leave a comment on the event in our Facebook Page and we'll get back to you ASAP.
