February Half Term is just around the corner, but don’t worry here at the Whitaker we’ve got you covered with some amazing activities and holiday clubs available for you to help take the pressure off a little bit, and keep the kids entertained. To launch this years ‘Rossendale Film Festival’ we’ve joined up with Olly of ‘Olly’s Woodland Adventures’ to bring another great ‘Forest School’ experience where young foresters can learn about the parkland around the Whitaker and roast marshmallows and pop corn on the fire, to eat whilst watching our screening of critically acclaimed, Mary & the Witch’s Flower at 3pm.
Get a break from the house for some light relief and come and watch our matinee screening of ‘The Greatest Showman’ on the big screen.

This is a delightful morning for family and friends to come together and enjoy a sumptuous Whitaker Breakfast, after enjoying traditional Christmas tales from our Storyteller whilst sat around the Christmas tree in our Drawing Room.

Connect Health and Wellbeing presents a focused but relaxed afternoon session aimed at students aged 14-16 years preparing for GCSEs and other KS4 examinations. You and your child will learn techniques to help understand how the mind controls the body and how to easily integrate positive thinking and growth mindset techniques into examination preparation.
Join us this half term for more craft activities with your little ones. We'll be making Valentines cards, writing words of love and celebrating everything Valentines. Creative and inspiring sessions for children up to the age of 12.

Making a visit to Father Christmas adds that extra bit of magic to the festive season for little ones (and the young at heart). So it’s good news that the jolly man himself will be making a stop-off once again this Christmas at the Whitaker.
We've got lot of things to keep your little monsters entertained this Halloween at the Whitaker with our daily Art & Craft sessions returning from Wednesday 25th to Friday 28th October.
Sessions start at 1pm and run until 3pm and cost just £3 per child. There will be Pumpkin Carving, Face Painting and Mask Making all in preparation for the spooky day itself.
A valley wide festival with unique events in Rawtenstall, Bacup, Haslingden and Whitworth. All with the aim of attracting & exposing visitors to the beauty, heritage and culture of Rossendale. What better way than to create a Festival with a theme that young and old can relate to.
